During our 2015 Grant Cycle the Brownsville Community Foundation was proud to award a total of $59,500 to the following non-profit organizations:

 

  • $8,500 to Bishop Enrique San Pedro Ozanam Center and Good Neighbor Settlement House for the Homeless After Hours Transportation project.
  • $8,500 to the Moody Clinic and Brownsville Community Health Clinic for Collaboration for Children With Special Needs in our Community.
  • $8,500 to Saint Joseph Academy and Guadalupe Regional Middle School for the Montagne Project.
  • $8,500 to the United Way of Southern Cameron County for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
  • $8,500 to Good Samaritan Community Services for the Asset Building for Clients project
  • $8,500 to the Gorgas Science Foundation for the Sabal Palm Sanctuary Education Center
  • $8,500 to Tip of Texas Family Outreach and the Brownsville Housing Authority for At Risk Prevention Services. 

 

 

During our 2014 Granting Cycle the Brownsville Community Foundation was proud to award a total of $95,000 for collaborative granting projects to the following non-profit organizations:

  • $20,000 to Bishop Enrique San Pedro Ozanam Center and Good Neighbor Settlement House for Homeless After Hours Transportation.
  • $10,000 to Guadalupe Regional Middle School for the Summer Scholars Program
  • $10,000 to Healthy Communities of Brownsville and Brownsville Bike Barn for Strengthening Bike Barn Program.
  • $20,000 to the Moody Clinic and Brownsville Community Health Clinic for Collaboration for Children With Special Needs in our Community.
  • $15,000 to Saint Joseph Academy and Guadalupe Regional Middle School for the Montagne Project.
  • $10,000 to the United Way of Southern Cameron County for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
  • $10,000 to the Ex Students Association of the University of Texas for the Rio Grande Scholars Program.

 

 

 

During our 2013 Granting Cycle the Brownsville Community Foundation was proud to award a total of $54,525 in the areas of health and education to the following non-profit organizations:

  • $9,225 to Brownsville Adult Literacy Council for the Family Literacy Project
  • $7,500 to Guadalupe Regional Middle School for the purchase of a school bus,
  • $5,000 to Vannie E. Cook Jr. Cancer and Hematology Clinic for cancer treatment for low-income patients from Brownsville,
  • $5,000 to Cameron County Children’s Advocacy Center for the Red Flag /Green Flag Early Childhood Development Safety Program,
  • $8,000 to the Valley AIDS Council for the purchase of a mobile testing van,
  • $5,000 to Healthy Communities of Brownsville for the Brownsville Bike Rodeo,
  • $5,000 to the Moody Clinic for Reach Out & Rehabilitate,
  • $4,300 to the Children’s Museum of Brownsville for the Children’s Museum Learning Garden,
  • $4.500 to United Way Success by 6 for KIDFISH Hooked for Life  United Way Children's Book Club project,
  • $1,000 the Gladys Porter Zoo Docent Council for stroller replacements for zoo visitors.
